Courage Recreation Therapy Services, from a holistic, strength-based approach, provides individualized assessments, detailed and goal oriented treatment plans and exceptional needs-based treatment modalities through fun disguised learning and practical skill building to address the client's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and psychological needs and to increase clients' daily functioning. We record and document all therapeutic sessions to track the clients' progress as well as to adapt client's treatment goals and plans as needed. We adapt or modify activities to help each individual thrive. Consultation and training for family members, staff and caregivers are available. Initial consultation and all subsequent services are provided at the comfort of the clients' place of residence. We aim to help our clients and their families reach their full potential for a higher quality of life.

What is recreation therapy?
"Recreational therapy, also known as therapeutic recreation, is a systematic process that utilizes recreation and other activity-based interventions to address the assessed needs of individuals with illnesses and/or disabling conditions, as a means to psychological and physical health, recovery and well-being.
Further, 'Recreational Therapy' means a treatment service designed to restore, remediate and rehabilitate a person’s level of functioning and independence in life activities, to promote health and wellness as well as reduce or eliminate the activity limitations and restrictions to participation in life situations caused by an illness or disabling condition."
